UNITS: General tag

Archery: A short drive will take you to private land for top-notch Whitetail hunting. We mainly hunt Whitetails on the Milk River and its tributaries. Hunting is done primarily by tree stands on trails between bedding and feeding areas. You can also combine this hunt with an antelope. All archery hunts can be combined with upland bird hunting. In most years an extra doe tag is available for purchase over-the-counter for deer and antelope. Archery Whitetail, Mule deer, and antelope can all be hunted from the ranch headquarters.

Rifle: A short drive from the ranch puts you into prime Whitetail hunting areas. Whitetail hunting can be our least physical type of hunting. Hunting methods used are blinds; glassing from vantage points overlooking bedding and feeding areas; and, stalking. Hunting with 4×4 trucks or walking open areas can produce quick shots.

After successfully bagging your big game, you are welcome to hunt birds, varmints, or coyotes for the remainder of your stay.

Hunt private land in the rolling prairie, river bottoms, and Ag fields.  The archery hunt is primary tree stand hunting with blinds used occasionally. Spot and stalk is the most common hunt method during the rifle rut hunt. During muzzleloader season, we use a combination of spot and stalk hunting or hunting blinds over food sources. We target 140"+ bucks and we have a 100% opportunity rate on all hunts. Archery starts the last Saturday in August, so if you are after a velvet buck, you have a very high probability rate with our archery hunts. Rifle hunts are rut hunts and start in Mid-November, followed by muzzleloader in December.

Option 2: The base camp we hunt Whitetail Deer out of is located deep in the wilderness, 10 miles past the end of the road. Our log cabins on the riverbank provide a comfortable base to hunt from with the rustic old-school atmosphere that you would expect in an old trappers camp. Hunting is done at pre-baited blinds, with our guides using ATVs to provide transport. Our Saskatchewan Whitetail territory is unique in that it is a true wilderness camp – there is essentially no hunting pressure, and many of the deer can live their life without encountering a human. Being a wilderness area, the deer densities are not as high as in some farmland areas, but our bucks get BIG.

Guided 6-Day 2-1 hunt $4,900
